Join your neighbors on Augusta Road for the 2009 Holiday Open House. Each year the local business owners and the Augusta Road Business Association host this event the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This year participating Businesses will donate a percentage of their sales for the day to Meals On Wheels. Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization that delivers meals to shut-in individuals that are in need.
Look for our insert in the Wednesday November 18th Greenville News. The City will extend the Trolley route to the Augusta Road Shopping District from 1pm until 5pm and each shopping center has events throughout the day.
Less than a mile from Greenville’s downtown, you’ll find thousands of historic homes, as well as newly-renovated neighborhoods, that for decades have been regarded as one of the Upstate’s most coveted areas to live, work and play.
What makes the area even more desirable is that the neighborhoods are nestled around some of the Upstate’s most desirable shopping, restaurants and local businesses, shops and boutiques. The Augusta Road Shopping District boasts clothing stores, flower shops, spas, and decorating resource centers found near old fashioned hardware stores and a wide range of restaurants. Augusta Road is also the location of Greenville’s first, and still very active, shopping mall, Lewis Plaza.
If you’re new to the area and looking for a home, ask your realtor to bring you through the Augusta Road area and see for yourself. If you’re a resident of the Upstate or just passing through, spend the day on Augusta Road, and see why we believe…you’ll find it Only On Augusta.
