Happy HalloThankmas! Halloween is here and the weather will be nice and cool. Leaves are already starting to fall as Autumn comes on Augusta Street (yes, we often say Road and that's a historical habit). About this time each year, the trickle of pumpkins, turkeys, Christmas trees, and all things holiday begins taking over your thoughts. This season is what we like to call Hallothanksmas.
We are all business owners here on Augusta Street and members of Augusta Road Business Association. Together we spend the fall season prepping for our Annual Holiday Open House, which takes place Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 1 to 5. We invite you to join us!
Over the years, many people have asked why we have this event that celebrates the Christmas Holidays before Thanksgiving even happens? Here are a series of answers: a. We enjoy kicking off Greenville's holiday season and have been doing this in November since the 1980s. b. It's a fantastic time to get the kids excited for what is coming, have a little hot cocoa, and let the nostalgic memory-making begin. c. The best answer...it's crazy in December and this gives your family a chance to enjoy the traditions of gift-giving, meeting Santa, and carriage rides, in a fun relaxed way, which means you are supporting locally owned businesses.
Do we celebrate Fall? Of course, we do! Visit our Facebook or Instagram anytime, and you'll find ARBA businesses and members having Fun in the Fall.
