THIS MEETING HAS TAKEN PLACE. THE BELOW GRAPHICS ARE NOT CURRENT. NEW INFO WILL BE UPLOADED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Augusta Road Business Association (ARBA) members are ready to meet with the city again. ARBA met with city traffic engineers in November. The City presented using a projector and a large screen to show the current conceptual plans for August Street Improvements. There are positives and negatives to the current plan. The members of ARBA will be getting together again in mid-January to create a complete statement of feedback from the Association. This will be made public to you once it is complete.
On February 27 a PUBLIC MEETING will take place at 5:30 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. A second draft of this plan will be unveiled so that you as community members are completely aware of what will take place, when, where, why, and how.
If you have not seen the PHASE II plans the city has put on their website, look now. The current plans show many shopping centers and business entrances being blocked off. Traffic will be moved to neighborhood streets to enter those centers and businesses. Some streets could become one-way. Two Uturns could be added. We are hoping this is altered in the Feb. 27th meeting.
USE YOUR VOICE. This is what Augusta Road Business Association was created for. To advocate for our businesses, members, community, and residents. The City wants to get your educated feedback!
